Privacy policy
Last updated 10 October 2026
MamaMapa is run by the MamaMapa team in Thailand. You can read the site without signing up, and we try to collect as little as possible. This page explains what we collect, why, and your rights under Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) (PDPA).
What we collect
When you send a question through “Ask MamaMapa”
- The question you type
- The stage you choose, such as pregnant or with a young child
- The page you sent it from
- A contact (email or LINE), only if you choose to give one. It’s optional.
When you email us we receive your email address and your message.
Site usage We may use privacy-friendly analytics such as Cloudflare Web Analytics or Google Analytics 4 to see anonymous traffic stats, such as which pages are read, where visitors come from and what kind of device they use.
We have no member accounts, don’t sell products ourselves, and don’t collect payment details.
How we use it
- To answer your question, if you gave us a way to reach you
- To understand what moms want to know, so we can write or improve articles (we use the topic only, never your name or contact)
- To keep the site working well and secure
- To meet legal obligations where required
We don’t sell or rent your personal data.
Legal basis
- Consent for the optional contact you choose to give, and for analytics where the law requires consent
- Legitimate interests for reading questions to improve our content, and for keeping the site secure
- Legal obligation where the law requires us to keep or disclose information
Who else handles data
We use outside service providers that may process data on our behalf:
- Google (Google Sheets, Apps Script, email) to receive and store form questions and send notifications to [email protected]
- Cloudflare to host the site, which may process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against attacks
- Analytics tools as described above, if enabled
These providers may store data on servers outside Thailand. We choose providers that apply internationally recognised data protection measures.
Embeds and outside links
Some pages include embedded Instagram posts, Google Maps links, Google Calendar “add to calendar” links, and images from Pexels or event organisers. When a page loads this content, or when you click a link, that service may collect data or use cookies under its own policy. The same goes for shop and affiliate links, where the shop or affiliate network may use cookies to record that you came from our link.
How long we keep it
- Form questions: as long as needed to answer them and improve our content
- Contact details: as long as needed to answer that question, then deleted when no longer needed
- Emails: as long as needed to reply and follow up
You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
About your child’s information
This site is meant for adults. When you send a question, please don’t include real names, ID numbers or other details that identify your child or anyone else. Just share what the question needs.
Your rights under the PDPA
- Access your data and get a copy
- Have it corrected
- Have it deleted or anonymised
- Restrict its use
- Object to processing
- Receive it or have it transferred
- Withdraw consent at any time (this doesn’t affect anything done before you withdraw)
- Complain to the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC) of Thailand
Send requests to [email protected]. We’ll respond within the time the law requires.
Security
We limit access to data to the team members who need it and use services with security measures in place, but no online system is 100% secure. Please don’t send sensitive information through the form unless you need to.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we’ll change the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we’ll make it clearly visible on the site.
